Gadzooks! We've crossed the river again. Sorry folks! Saint Paul is awesome but sometimes I do stray to Minneapolis.

Question for you.............as you can probably tell, I'm feeling less than inspired with my photo blog lately and have been contemplating deep sixing it in favor of a new project "People Saint Paul" where I highlight different people who live and work in our fair city. Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions? Comments? Anyone?

Kind Stranger

Thank goodness for the kindness of strangers. Someone took the time to pop a hat, scarf and socks on this statue just outside Bridgeview School.

Outdoor Ice Rinks

One of the reasons I love Minnesota is because these people never stay indoors. Snow everywhere and freezing cold temps? Fabulous! Let's go ice skating! During the winter months, outdoor ice rinks pop up all over! They are home to NHL hopefuls and Kristi Yamaguchi wannabe's. Here is one I found near my work.

The Mall of America

I'm not really a big fan of malls but when I stumbled across this cheerleading competition in the grand rotunda at the Mall of America, I had to stop and photograph it. It was so much fun to watch! Hope you enjoy the pics.

Ice Falls

Sometimes, after a snow, the weather warms up a bit. The warmer temps and the shining sun causes the snow from rooftops to melt slowing and create huges icicles. It's hell on the gutters but it sure is pretty to look at.

Apartment on Snelling Avenue

This corner in the spring and summer is a hot spot for protests and demonstrations. There are usually people with flags and banners waving at the cars that go by. I guess this apartment dweller decided to join in.

So, I suck! Sorry about the lack of posting and new pictures. This is a new image but it's from an old location, Mickey's Diner in downtown. But fear not faithful viewers. Two new camera lenses recently were purchased and soon I will be out shooting anything and everything and should have a whole new arsenal of photos to post. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks to anon, I now know that this building is NOT in West St. Paul but in St. Paul's West End. I just loved the row house look of it.

Colborne Street

This home just has such a fabulous air about it. Every time I look at it, I hear horse drawn carriages and high laced boots on wooden floors. I smell sawdust and fresh baked bread. I wonder what the history is behind it.
