I had never been here before h suggested it for the pile of books I had cleaned out of several bookcases. I know that area well but don't think I ever noticed his place. I traded a bunch of books for cash and a couple of used CD's. It was great! I think I'll be back. :)

Trader Joe's

TJ's has a liquor store where they sell a myriad of cheap wines.  Being a fan of cheap wine, we go there often. These empty boxes caught my eye.  The sales guys thought I was a nutburger, but I like it, don't you?

Red's Savoy Inn Pizza

When loaded with toppings, this pizza has been likened to a very fat man on a very small raft. Any way you slice it, it's delicious.

Holy Mackeral Tattoo Studio Continued

The art on the wall of the studio is varied and really interesting. Most of it has some element of gore or edge to it but I found this particular series fascinating.
Take a good close look at this. It's really incredible all the little things you can find in it.

The Schmidt Brewery

The crown jewel, in my opinion, along West 7th is the Schmidt Brewery. Now abandoned and for sale, I really hope they do something great with this gorgeous classic history landmark!

Grand 7

I've never been in this joint but it's at the bottom of Ramsey Hill (which leads to Grand Avenue - sort of - hence the name Grand 7).

West 7th seems to be host to a variety of tattoo studios. This is one called Visual Addiction.

Mixed Bag

Saint Paul truly is a mixed bag of cultures. Here is the Czechoslovakian American Hall on West 7th. It's now a restaurant called Glockenspiel, but I've always wondered if they still have gatherings of Czechoslovakian American's there.

FINALLY some fresh pics. West 7th is more than just a street, it's a neighborhood. One I've been wanting to photograph for some time now. I started today but am by no means done. But I hope you enjoy it, because we'll be here for a spell.

Renaissance Festival

Technically, outside the city limits, way outside actually, but I loved these "jars" for lack of a better word. The artist told me that they were originally created to ward evil spirits off people's graves. I thought they were fabulous!
