When the beauty of the snow fades, this is what we get left with. Giant mounds of snow shoved into corners of parking lots by huge plows now dirty with exhaust and parking lot trash. It takes forever for these monsters to completely disappear. It will probably be another 6 weeks or more before they are totally gone. Gorgeous, huh?
I live in a fairly old neighborhood. My home was built in 1907. The old lady next door is the second owner of her home which was built around the same time mine was. Somewhere around the early 60's, time ceased to pass inside her home. It still has wall to wall shag carpets and knicknacks covering every surface. It's like a museum and there are so many retro antiques in there that I could have a field day on ebay! I really like my neighbor and have to laugh every time I go over there. Last time I was there, I snapped a few photos. Here is one.
This person has so much to say, they've decided to cover their truck with their personal opinions. All nine billion of them. Hey, to each his own. If you have the capability, I highly suggest using a zoom feature to be able to read all the posters. Some are in lanugages I don't recognize but maybe you will?
Circular red leather booths, grilled bread and great steaks. It's old school St. Paul and everyone in the area should definatley go at least once. We usually try and take visitors there if we can for a real taste of St. Paul.
On my way to work, I saw the giant orange moon setting so I abandoned my commute and chased it until I found the perfect spot to photograph it. The skyline is Minneapolis, but it was shot from St. Paul. It's grainy from my zoom, but I love this shot!
You brag about spring, warmer temps and motorcycle rides and this is what happens. The biggest snowfall of the entire winter. Actually, I am loving this storm and all the snow. It's beautiful, peaceful and best of all, I get a snow day!
When the temperatures rose to the upper 40's, it was time to get the bike out of the garage! I was not actually the photographer of this shot, but I was the subject. Thanks to Julie for shooting from the sidecar.
The Church of the Assumption is the oldest in St. Paul. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The twin spires are the third-tallest in St. Paul.
