It was so in need of help a few years ago, but this restoration is phenomenal. Unfortunately, one of the mural painters fell from his scaffolding while working alone one weekend and died. Tragic.
The Saint Paul Central Library is truly one of the underappreciated treasures of the Twin Cities. Whe I worked downtown I used to stop by on at least a weekly basis.
