Grand Avenue & Cambridge St.

A charming intersection near Macalester houses the new location for the Italian Pie Shoppe. Yum!

Hey, I love this shot. The only thing missing is The Hungry Mind. You're in my neighborhood now; perhaps we'll bump into one another as we "see" more scenes. Have to laugh; just took a picture of Porkies that didn't turn out, the Bathtub building is too ugly to photo, but you did a great job. Hmmm! Where shall we meet for a photo shoot =) ????

Just stumbled acros your site - lovely! I lived in St. Paul in the mid-'70s - the very first house I owned was at Randolph & Lexington - and I worked as a letter carrier throughout most of the city. Speaking of pizza, there was a great pizza place way out east called Captain Jack's (it was housed adjacent to a bowling alley), maybe in Lake Elmo? I wonder if it's still there. Their cheese was amazing!

What!?! The Italian Pie Shoppe moved? What is going on in this world? Did they close down the one farther down Grand?

Your photos of St. Paul make me miss my true home. Go to Cafe Latte and have some cake for all of us who've left our true loves.

Yes Cricket, the Pie Shoppe moved. They closed the one further down Grand. I've heard they are thinking about dropping the old building and the one next to it to put up a Lunds but I think if that does happen, it won't be for quite some time. The new location is very tiny and therefore always very full.
