In my opinion, this is by far the ugliest building in St. Paul. I call it The Bathtub Building because the outside of it looks like the inside of a hideous, industrial bathroom. I believe it's mostly offices but it also houses an Applebees. Fitting, I think.

It's Spruce Tree Center! It's supposed to look like a big evergreen tree!

I agree with you, though. I haven't liked it since they built it in the mid-80s. It's the product of some insane architect's imagination.

Worst. St. Paul. Building. Ever.

Granted, I think the entire intersection of Uni and Snelling needs to be napalmed and rebuilt (except for our beloved Big Top - home of an excellent selection of cheap beer and wine).

I, too, think this is very ugly. I ahve always called it the shower stall building.
